Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
I have been crafting since I was 2. I have been though almost every possible craft craze while growing up thanks to my amazingly crafty mother. I first started paper crafting 16+ years ago with the crinkle scissors and just cutting and pasting photos into my first attempts at scrapbooking. I have always seen these amazing scrapbooks and wanted to know how they were done but I could never figure it out.
Then about 10 years ago I found what I thought was heaven on earth...A real live scrapbooking store in my home town with classes and as much tools, paper & embellishments as you could event want! I booked a class for my mom for mothers’ day and we spent 8 hours in that store creating pages and just cutting on their commercial die cut machine...its what I fell in love with the moment I saw it! They had whatever you could want covering 3 walls. We had finally done it made these professional looking layouts I was never going back to the "fancy" scissors again!!
Then one day I went to sign up for class and replace some supplies that I had lost in a tragic house fire and they were closed...I broke down and cried a little. Whatever was I to do now? I floated around the crafting world hoarding whatever I found but not really having the tools or motivation to get started again. One night when I was feeling really crafty I decided to start google searching die cut machines because I really really wanted to start scrapbooking again. I ended up on some YouTube reviews comparing different brands and hands down the best machine I saw was the Big Shot! I was in love and added it to my birthday/Christmas wish list right away. I immediately looked into where I can buy it online so I decided to start saving.
Then one day while picking up some items I got for a killer deal at our Whitby Figure Skating Clubs annual sale one of the executive and I were talking about paint night and scrapbooking and it turned into her telling me about a stamp sale and card class held by the other lady quietly working away on her computer. I said I was very interested and so she introduced me to Wendy Fee who said she was with Stampin' Up and I had never heard of them before and then she asked me if I had heard of the Big Shot and I probably started jumping up and down I was so excited I had finally found it and local!
I missed the sale :( but attended one of her card class and then I was hooked! I booked my own class and had a wish list over $1000 so we discussed my options and now I am a demo and I have never been happier. My paper crafting love has finally found an outlet. It inspires myself and my 3 girls to craft everyday and I have met so many wonderfully talented ladies who share my passion & I look forward to meeting you as well.
